Delete your BOB Chat account & data
Last updated: 3 June 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your BOB Chat account and the data associated with it. BOB Chat is published by Bob Tools LLP. BOB Chat uses your bob.tools account; "account" below means that bob.tools account.
How to request deletion
To request deletion of your account and associated data, follow these steps:
- Send an email to ivan@bob.tools from the email address associated with your bob.tools account.
- Use the subject line "Delete my BOB Chat account".
- We will verify the request and delete your account, then confirm by email. Requests are processed within 30 days.
What data is deleted
- Your email address and bob.tools account record — this is the only personal data BOB Chat stores on our servers, and it is permanently deleted.
- Any subscription/entitlement record tied to your account is deleted.
What data is kept (and for how long)
- Your Telegram chats, messages and contacts are never stored on our servers — they are handled directly between your device and Telegram (via TDLib), so there is nothing for us to delete on that front. To remove that data, uninstall the app and/or manage your data through Telegram itself.
- Payment records held by Google Play or Stripe are retained by those providers as required by law (for tax and accounting), under their own policies. We do not store your card details.
- We may retain minimal records strictly required to comply with legal obligations; these are kept only as long as the law requires and are not used for any other purpose.
Deleting data without deleting your account
On-device data (tasks, contact notes, the local search index and your Telegram session) lives only in the app's private storage on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling BOB Chat — no request to us is needed.
