Currency Converter Offline — Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Bob Tools LLP ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Currency Converter Offline application for Android, iOS, and Wear OS ("the App"). The short version: the App has no account, no sign-in, no ads, and does not collect personal data to identify you.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not require registration and does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, location, or any other personal identifier. We do not show advertising and do not use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share data for advertising purposes.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Your settings, selected currencies, and cached exchange rates are stored only in the App's local database on your device, so the App keeps working offline. Uninstalling the App removes this data.
3. Exchange-Rate Requests
To refresh exchange rates, the App contacts our server (api.bob.tools). These requests are anonymous — they contain no account or personal identifier. Like any web request, they generate standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent) used for security, abuse prevention, and capacity planning.
4. Crash Reports
The App uses Sentry to collect crash reports and error diagnostics (device model, OS version, app version, the technical details of the error, and, as with any network request, your IP address). Crash reports are used solely to find and fix bugs and are processed by Sentry under its own privacy terms.
5. Feedback You Send
If you choose to send feedback from within the App, we receive the message you write and basic app/device information included with it, and we use it only to respond to and act on your feedback.
6. Exchange-Rate Information Disclaimer
Exchange rates shown in the App are for general informational purposes only, may be delayed or approximate, and do not constitute financial advice.
7. Children
The App can be used without creating an account or providing any personal details, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The limited technical data described in sections 3–5 is collected from all users alike and is not used to identify anyone.
8. Your Rights
The limited technical data we receive (sections 3–4) is not linked to your identity and is kept only briefly, so in most cases we cannot identify you from it (Article 11 UK/EU GDPR). If you believe we hold data about you — for example feedback you sent — contact us and we will help; you can also lodge a complaint with the ICO or your local supervisory authority.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy; the "Last Updated" date above will be revised when we do.
